Sustainability at Six Senses Kaplankaya
Built into the Aegean landscape, Six Senses Kaplankaya is surrounded by natural beauty and rich heritage. Sustainability is put into practice through our Regenerative Impact Fund, which allocates 0.5 percent of hotel revenue to environmental, educational and community initiatives. At our Earth Lab, guests discover hands-on activities inspired by nature and culture. GSTC certification supports our sustainable tourism practices, while ISO 50001 helps us manage and improve our energy use.

Marine Conservation
Launched in 2024, a Marine Conservation initiative, in partnership with Kaplankaya Facilities Management Sustainability, cleaned 12 kilometers of coastline across 176 dives, removing 10 tons of tires, ropes, and ghost nets from the ocean. In 2025, the project expanded to habitat restoration, installing 20 artificial reef blocks and transplanting sponges at Anhinga Beach. Volunteer clean-ups in Akbuk Harbor, also removed 1.5 tons of waste, supporting ongoing marine conservation efforts.

Local Climate Warriors
Local Climate Warriors is a collaborative initiative with our neighboring village schools. The project supports the cleaning, renovation, and maintenance of Kazikli Village School, while welcoming students from Kazikli and other nearby schools to the hotel to for sustainability training and hands-on activities focused on climate change, environmental awareness, and practical action. In 2025, 155 students participated in the program.
Social Responsibility
Working with our community, we support the local economy through employment and responsible purchasing, while giving back through education and sustainability awareness projects.

Sustainable Tourism Support Scholarship
In 2025, the Six Senses Kaplankaya Regenerative Impact Fund supported the Sustainable Tourism Support Scholarship in partnership with TEV (Turkish Education Foundation), providing scholarships to 10 students studying tourism and helping them continue their education and prepare for careers in the industry.

Improving Lives: Animal Shelter and Sterilization
In 2025, 76 cats and dogs received essential sterilization and vaccinations, improving their health and safety while contributing to the responsible management of the stray animal population. We also funded a dedicated examination room at the Didim Animal and Nature Preservation Society shelter, our project partner, strengthening its capacity to provide ongoing veterinary care and essential medical services.
